Step-by-Step Guide to Connect the iProd Tablet to Your Machine and Ensure Connection with the iProd Cloud Management System
To communicate with the machine and be used by the management system, the iProd Tablet requires an internet connection. This connection can be provided in various ways, depending on the company's network configuration.
Introduction
If the machine either has no network connection (neither local nor internet) or has a direct cable connection to the company network (usually for transferring Part Programs), it will be necessary to insert an Ethernet switch downstream of the company network cable (whether it has internet or not). From this switch, run another Ethernet cable to the machine you want to connect the iProd Tablet to.
To do this, follow these steps:
- Disconnect the LAN cable from the machine and connect it to the switch.
- Connect another LAN cable from the machine to the switch.
- Connect the first of the 2 supplied cables from the DATA IN port of the PoE to the switch.
- Connect the second of the 2 supplied cables from the DATA & POWER OUT port of the PoE to the Tablet. (see the photo in the article: POWERING iProd Tablet)
In the figure below, you will see various network configurations. Simply identify the one that most closely matches your current situation to understand which network configuration to adopt to connect the iProd IoT Tablet to your machine.

We need to ensure that the iProd IoT Tablet and the machine are on the same network, so we will need to configure the tablet's network settings.
Just follow one of the guides listed below, depending on which of the configurations above best suits your workshop's situation:
